Since 80% of a child’s mental development takes place before the child is eight years old, quality education during this period is critical. In the Montessori tradition, each class is a prepared environment, alive with a wealth of intriguing materials. The children move at their own pace through the various curriculum areas (at the preschool level)- practical life, sensory, language, mathematics, cultural studies, and creative arts. Our programme is carefully and painstakingly prepared (and upgraded from time to time) to meet the specific and changing needs of the children within the classroom. The holistic approach helps each child to grow with balance, health, and joyfulness.

Blooming Lights Montessori School delivers a curriculum that is balanced, challenging, and full. At the preschool level, the Montessori programme provides for each child’s needs and interests and aims to nurture the development of the whole child. The Montessori materials are important tools for learning and form a network of materials along with other program resources. At the elementary level, we deliver an integrated curriculum that has a rich blend of the Nigerian curriculum. The British Curriculum (it’s more infused in all the language subjects and science) and the Montessori Curriculum (infused more in humanities and the rich resources that come with it) are used as enrichment materials in most of the other subject areas.

We strongly believe in doing all that we can to provide your child/children with the right environment and skills to succeed in life. Should the teacher feel it necessary to employ expert advice to assist them with any behavioural or developmental challenges a child may experience, this will be discussed with you. In most cases, parental permission is required before initiating any contact. Your participation is important and your support is encouraged. Parents are financially responsible for assessments.

This department has been carved out of the school to cater for kids with special learning challenges who require a different method when it comes to learning. All kids who fall into this category are required to have a personal teacher who is trained to function effectively in that capacity. The school accepts children in this category, and we do everything to ensure the children unfold as expected. The teaching is specialised in a way that will connect the educator and pupil in order for expectations to be met.
